What do I need to wear?

The water on the Green River is warm. If the weather is warm, a bathing suit and shoes that will stay on your feet while swimming are recommended. During early spring and late fall, we recommend layering with synthetics such as fleece or polypropylene. Anything you forgot or need for the trip can be purchased in our store.

Kayak Instruction - Custom Clinics

Let us design a clinic created to fit your goals and skill level. With a custom clinic the possibilities are endless!

Beginners...Get the most for your dollar by learning from your own private instructor. You can learn more and perfect your technique more quickly than even in our small groups. In our Custom Clinic you set the pace that works best, spending extra time on the skills you want to master.

Intermediate Paddlers...Do you want to step up to a new river with a guide who knows it "like the back of their hand"? Have you been out of your boat for a while and feel like your paddling skills are rusty, or are you "stuck" due to difficulties with your roll or river reading skills? We will work to help put you back on the steep part of the learning curve. Intensive roll practice, strokes, river reading, surfing...you name it, we'll do it!

Transportation

Clients must provide their own transportation to and from the river.

Gear and equipment

All gear and equipment is provided for you, if you don't have your own. We purchase the hottest new boats and equipment in the industry each year!

Lunch

All full day clinics at Green River Adventures are catered by the Purple Onion Cafe in Saluda, NC. Please let us know of any dietary restricitions you may have when you reserve your clinic.
