International Trips

You're there....ready to experience more of the world's whitewater, but who needs the headache of planning an international trip? Let us take care of it for you!  Travel to Costa Rica with one of our experienced instructors.  They've paddled just about every mile of whitewater this tropical paradise has to offer, are fluent in Spanish, and a ton of fun to paddle and travel with!  We have a long-standing relationship with a local outfitter who takes care of all our trip logistics - transportation, food, lodging, shuttles, and other activities.  Here's a sample itinerary to give you a taste of how awesome your winter paddling could be:

Day 10: San Jose to USA

General Info:

Our "2010 Expedition: Cost Rica" is designed as an international whitewater experience that includes class III and IV rapids.  While the majority of the rivers we paddle are labeled class III, the opportunity to run class IV presents itself daily.  Our guides are thrilled to share with you their knowledge of Costa Rican culture and whitewater.  This knowledge of the country in general and the specific rivers we visit facilitate smooth logistics and a way to experience international kayaking without the headache.  Transportation, food, and lodging is prearranged by our in-country outfitter. We all travel in one vehicle, affectionately referred to as a "mini bus".  We stay in very cool hotels every night, except on our Pacuare River overnight, where we slep in platform tents overlooking the river.  Prepare for 7 action-packed days on some of the worlds most quality whitewater and one "day off" soaring through treetops on a zipline, riding horses, and soaking in natural volcanic hotsprings.
